Today I was driving across the state when I suddenly got the impulse to eat a ham sandwich. I normally don't eat ham because I'm Jewish, am I wrong?

You're wrong simply because you shouldn't follow a religion unless you agree with everything.

If god did not want you to eat pork he would not have made pigs taste so good. I do not believe this was really a rule from God but more likely something that came from a dairy or chicken farmer ;)

My cat is a Muslim and he loves him some ham, bacon and all kinds of pork products... we tell him he's a bad Muslim as a joke, but I still think he's favored by Allah.

you should question why your religion prohibits eating pork while, I assume, eating other animals is perfectly acceptable. are those reasons still relevant today? what logical reason is there for having regret over craving a food?

well obviously if you dont think your wrong even because of your religion then there is nothing wrong with wanting to eat ham. god forgives all =]
