I had someone hit my new car in a parking lot, causing a rather large dent. It was not a reportable accident because the damage was <$1000. I got an estimate of the cost to repair and it was $900. My deductible is $500. I just couldnt afford to repair it right now. Several days later a lady hit me in a pk lot and caused a lot more damage to the front of the car. She pointed out my previous damage and the new damage and said "i'm so sorry I did this!" Her ins repaired my car including the "old" damage because they thought she did that too. Was I wrong in not telling them the damage on the one side was from a prior accident?

do you have a target painted on your car? seems like people like to run into it.

Technically that sounds like insurance fraud. I wouldn't worry too much about it though. If it was conceivable that it all happened in the second accident, and its already paid for, you're fine. Just consider yourself lucky you didn't get screwed this time.

you pay alot of money for insurance and don't get anything back when nothing goes wrong- they have tons of money- don't loose any sleep over it. Not a big deal.
